Why do I have to come in every 4-6 weeks?

The hair grows in different cycles. The hair has to be in the active stage when treated in order for it to be destroyed. On average only 10-12% is in that active stage.  The active cycle occurs every 4-6 weeks.

Does IPL hair removal work on red or gray hair? Why or why not?

It does not work on either.  Lasers and IPL devices are attracted to the pigment in the hair follicle. There isn’t pigment in grey hair.

What if I’m a little tan?

Just inform when booking your appointment at any of our Laser Hair Removal spas in NY to ensure you are booked in the proper room, with the equipment to treat suntan skin.

Will the area I treat be red?  For how long?

There is no downtime between treatments.

Do you treat men’s pubic area?

We treat all areas on the face and body on both men and women.

Why can’t you do my eyebrows?

We can do the center (unibrow). We cannot shape brows because the light is fragmented and cannot create a straight line.

Does it work on fine hair?

There are various opinions on fine hair. We ask that you come in meet with a specialist and they may perform a test patch. Its complimentary and only takes a few minutes. The specialist will then be able to determine whether or not you are a candidate.

What if I use a self tanner?

Since self-tanners mimic real sun, we ask that you follow the same guidelines as being suntan. When calling to book your appointment, please inform the front desk so they may book you in the proper room.

Can I get treated if I’m pregnant?

You can be treated as long as you provide a doctors note.
